Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora,你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to hubs in Austin and San Francisco, which are now home to our US operations. So whether you're in Texas or California, you have choice in where and how you work in each of those states. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

About the role

As our Head of Investor Relations, you will be a partner and adviser to the senior leadership team of Canva, as well as Canva’s primary spokesperson to the financial community.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a world-class IR program and building strong relationships with key institutional investors and sell-side research analysts. You will also be responsible for monitoring movements, trends, and developments in the broader capital markets, and providing expert counsel to the executive team.

What you'll do

Build and manage our IR program

  • Develop and maintain an overall IR strategy that prioritizes clear and effective communications with institutional investors and sell-side analysts.
  • Assist in the development of external messaging relating to company strategy, earnings announcements, and other events.
  • Manage ongoing investor and analyst activities, including earnings announcements, investor and industry conferences, investor bus tours, non-deal roadshows, and other events.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape to provide competitive intelligence and insights to the executive team.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the company at investor and industry conferences.
  • Track and analyze sell-side analyst models and consensus estimates.
  • Develop and maintain the company’s investor relations website.
  • Develop and oversee the quarterly earnings process, including all materials and related activities.
  • Build lasting relationships with existing and prospective institutional investors and sell-side analysts.
  • Be a close internal partner to the FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Communications, and Legal teams.

What we're looking for

  • Strong financial acumen, modeling and corporate finance skills, and knowledge of valuation methodologies.
  • Broad understanding of the capital markets and ability to interpret trends.
  • Deep knowledge of accounting concepts and SEC disclosure requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging investor communications, presentations, and responses.
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence in speaking in public forums.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
  • Technology industry experience (software/SaaS experience is ideal though not required), and experience in fast-paced environments, is desired.
