B2B Product Manager

We are seeking a B2B Product Manager with an engineering background. A good candidate will have experience in heavy civil structures and asset integrity, enabling them to empathize with end users in various engineering sectors and translate complex context into actionable requirements for our development teams.
Your ability to prioritize will be essential as you serve multiple user personas and account for various use-case scenarios in a complex enterprise setting.
As a proactive problem-solver, you'll craft narratives justified by data that describe the solution context. Working with experts and internal teams, you'll create bespoke B2B solutions, ensuring the most critical aspects are addressed first to maximize value for both our customers and our business.

Key responsibilities

  • Understanding and Translating Customer Needs: Build and prioritize a backlog to deliver a solution that serves multiple user personas, adapting to changing needs, and ensures value
  • Deliver Solution Context: Build narratives to describe & document the solution context to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with platform and capability teams, industry experts, SMEs, regulatory bodies, and engage in client-facing interactions for discovery.
  • Hypotheses and Solution Development/Testing: Define solution epics, build MVPs for experimentation, assess impact with metrics
  • Plan and Manage Releases: Oversee product planning activities, including prioritization of features, release management, effective collaboration across teams and timely delivery.
  • Marketing and Communication: Work with internal stakeholders on product literature, and customer presentations.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a related field.
    • 2+ Years experience in Product Management.
    • Background in Engineering or technical role in Energy (e.g. Oil & Gas), Civil, Marine, etc.
    • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to translate client needs into product requirements.
    • Exceptional communication skills and ability to articulate & collaborate on complex product concepts, including technical specifications, to diverse clients in both written and verbal form.
    • Proficient in product management softwares such as JIRA/Confluence, GSuite, MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in a startup or small company environment.
    • Expertise at managing tight deadlines and meeting revenue targets.
    • Familiarity with asset integrity management and related best practices.
