The Role

Athena is on the hunt for a brilliant mid to senior CRM expert to join our Growth Marketing team. If you’re a platform expert and excel at end-to-end execution - of both lead generation and customer communication programs of work - then keep on reading!

We are looking for a marketing automation gun, who is rigorous in delivery excellence and platform best practice (Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Intercom). You are a born collaborator and love the diversity that comes from working in cross functional teams.

Driven by creating work that moves commercial targets across the full funnel – from aggressive lead generation across paid and owned assets and into the Sales funnel, through to optimising application conversion, and all the way through to settled loans. Strategic customer lifecycle comms that genuinely add value is the final piece of your puzzle.

You are rigorous, accurate and diligent in your processes; and you live in the detail – this is important given the regulated environment in which Athena operates. Safety first!

In this role, you will:

  • Create, design, execute and optimise acquisition journeys to drive mid to lower funnel conversion – from lead generation and nurture, through to settlements and customer lifecycle comms
  • Collaborate with the Growth Marketing team for continual program optimisation and efficiency, driving effective paid retargeting and building of first party marketable audiences
  • Collaborate on cross functional strategy (Marketing/Sales/Product) to optimise nurture journeys and leads conversion, keeping the pipeline full for the Sales team
  • Create, design and execute customer comms originating out of SFMC - SMS, email, social.
  • Data base management, sync and alignment with SF CRM
  • Build campaigns using HTML and AMPscript or through the editor.
  • Ensure campaign design and templates are optimised, user and device-friendly.
  • Create, edit and manage subscriber data, import, queries and segmentation.
  • Own maintenance of data, code snippets and campaign template systems.
  • Work alongside Engineering + Product to manage data requirements, data quality and data validation.
  • Best practice risk and compliance management
  • Reporting and analysis for continual conversion improvement
  • Collaborate with Brand and Content teams to deliver customer comms program
  • Consult with Engineering and Product on SalesForce platform management
  • Manage Intercom journeys and efficiency, in conjunction with the Sales team

Role requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business or related technical field
  • Proven track record in lead generation and sales nurture journeys, as well as delivering technical trigger based customer communications programs in a regulated environment
  • Technical knowledge: 3+ years of experience with SQL, HTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Deep understanding of CRM (data fields/structures) and their application within lifecycle marketing
  • Minimum of three to five years of end-to-end CRM execution, specifically on Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Braze or Marketo acceptable).
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification preferred.
  • Experience managing Intercom (or other Chat bot) workflows
