Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hello, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a hub in San Francisco, which is now home to our US operations. We offer flexibility in how and where you work. We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Quickly becoming an authority in Canva’s APIs and Connect API.
  • Supporting the Developers (Enterprises, Systems Integrations, IT stakeholders, and more) in designing solutions and balancing the capabilities available in our ecosystem with the needs of customers.
  • Showcasing powerful presentations and demos, help develop demo agendas and prepare software demo presentations for Developers.
  • Working closely with the Ecosystem product teams to understand the product’s inner workings and overall roadmap.
  • Being the voice of Developers by communicating customer technical capability needs to product and engineering teams and API needs to the Ecosystem product and engineering teams.
  • Nurturing engagement in our Developers' community while also championing them inside the company by raising awareness of their pain points, feedback, and feature requests.

You're probably a match if

  • You possess firmly grounded computer science and engineering fundamentals with experience in developing web applications.
  • You have experience developing, integrating into APIs, and building web solutions.
  • You have at least 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or equivalent experience.
  • You can showcase fantastic technical troubleshooting skills in an Enterprise SaaS-based environment.
  • You have prior experience with custom extension/integration development and different web platforms and app marketplaces.
  • You show a customer-focused attitude and demeanor.
  • You are an effective communicator with a strong voice when writing.

About the team

The Ecosystem group contributes to Canva’s growth towards 1 billion users by creating an abundant app ecosystem that tailors to the diverse needs of our users across all demographics. As Canva continues to play a larger role in organizations with larger teams, it is essential that we continue growing an ecosystem that supports both apps and integrations with 3rd party tools/apps/services. Ecosystem has launched the Canva Apps SDK and is continuing to evolve Ecosystem product offering by launching the public REST API for Canva to serve third-party developers (Connect API) and support integrations with enterprises and SaaS software!

The Ecosystem strategy involves three priorities:

  • Build and scale the Canva API to enable deep integrations into (and outside of) Canva’s editor product
  • Create a truly delightful experience for our developers and their customers.
  • Building high-quality integrations with strategic partners to benefit Canva’s users.
