What you’d be doing in this role

  • Build a high-performing team of engaged product managers that are continuously growing in their craft. You will lead a team of product managers that work in a diverse range of domains such as Mobile, Performance & Accessibility, each with its unique challenges.
    You will own the Ultra Inclusive strategy and continue to build and advocate for an inclusive product and make Canva accessible to everyone from people with disabilities, to people living in areas with patchy and/or expensive internet connections, and other groups that may be left behind.
  • Collaborating with key product, design and engineering stakeholders across the group and Canva to identify and deliver on opportunities to improve the quality and inclusiveness of the product.
  • Create a vision and define the future roadmap for the group by working with your team and stakeholders across the company.
  • Be an advocate for an inclusive and equitable product in communications and in person to win over hearts and minds in a company that has many priorities.

You're probably a match if

  • You are an experience product leader, and ideally have experience in cross-cutting domains like user-perceived performance, mobile, accessibility, or offline support.
  • You’re an advocate for company-wide improvements to the quality and inclusiveness of the product.
  • You’re a strong communicator - can speak the language of engineering, data, design and can coordinate cross-functionally with each to achieve big wins.
  • You understand the importance and multiplier effect of platforms and understand when to add platform capabilities to aid the whole company in delivering value to the user.
  • You have a proven track record of collaborating and leading product teams effectively to deliver a complex roadmap.
  • You aren’t afraid to dive in and learn a new domain — you don’t need to be an expert on all of the things, but you will be working with subject matter experts and will know how to ask questions to get yourself up to speed.

About the team

Client Platform focuses on the user's experience of using the Canva product and owns things like the Design System, frontend performance, Android, iOS and Desktop clients and other user-facing cross-cutting concerns like internationalisation and accessibility of the product. This enables the group to be an advocate for an accessible and inclusive product and makes it the perfect owner for the Ultra Inclusive company strategy that seeks to truly empower the whole world to design, leaving no one behind.

You will be part of a leadership triad, alongside a Product Design Lead and Group Engineering Lead. And you will work closely with your PM coachees and Engineering Leads across the group.
