About the Role
We are looking for a talented marketing professional to join the Canva South Korea team.
As the Brand Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for managing Canva’s brand presence. You will launch and manage owned brand channels on social media and other relevant digital platforms, showcasing creatively audacious campaigns and content to drive awareness and engagement. You will collaborate closely with a cross functional teams from around the world to achieve our ambitious goal of becoming one of the most beloved brands in South Korea.

What you’ll do (responsibilities)
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies that align with overall business objectives.
- Provide insight on media trends and the competitive landscape in South Korea, to devise tactics that effectively activate the Canva brand in the local market.
- Manage and optimize campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels, ensuring a cohesive and consistent media strategy.
- Develop and produce content that supports daily social media communications and broader, holistic campaigns, while ensuring a strong tone of voice that represents Canva’s values.
- Own end-to-end operations, from conceptualization and planning to negotiating with partners and vendors, setting up and executing campaigns, and analyzing impact and reporting on results.
- Collaborate with global marketing teams across brand, social, community, and growth, as well as external agencies, etc. to ensure measurable success of campaigns.
- Collaborate with central teams to ensure best practices in creative development, automation, workflows, measurement, and other processes that enhance campaign performance and efficiency.
Qualifications
What we're looking for
- 8+ years of experience in a B2C marketing role, with robust experience in managing owned brand channels
- Prior experience in tech or start-up sectors in South Korea is strongly preferred.
- A well-rounded marketer who excels in cross-functional teams within fast-paced environments and is comfortable wearing multiple hats.
- A creative thinker with hands-on experience in content creation for brands, possessing a keen eye for storytelling in both written and visual formats.
- Deep understanding of how different social media platforms operate, including current content trends, advertising features, and audience demographics.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex and varied datasets into actionable insights that drive strategies and solutions. Proficiency with analytics tools to track and measure campaign performance.
- Experience with content management systems and social media management tools is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage and build relationships with local and global stakeholders, both internal and external.
- A naturally curious, proactive self-starter who is willing to take measured risks.
- Full proficiency in both English and Korean, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively influence and convey complex information to colleagues and through marketing materials.
