Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia but we engage our Contractors and Freelancers all over the world to help us meet our crazy big goals. As a Contractor or Freelancer at Canva, you can work fully remotely in the country outlined above, meaning you have ultimate flexibility. Wherever works for you, works for us.
What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
Canva’s SEO is world-class, and we’re looking for a passionate SEO Content Specialist to join the International SEO team to help scale our next phase of growth in Korea. This is a 12-month project, full-time hours.
Working closely with our South Korea SEO Lead and our Outreach Specialist, you will be responsible for building and leading the South Korea SEO Content strategy. You'll have access to a range of the best enterprise-level third-party tools, as well as several platforms and products we have built in-house that help us to world-class SEO.
Your role will involve building and executing a content strategy for South Korea, based on SEO and competitor research. You will also be able to draw inspiration from past successes of Canva’s global Content Strategy, but we count on your deep local knowledge to reach South Korean users in ways that we may have not explored before, particularly on Naver.
What you'll do
- Having a clear overview and understanding of our brand's goals, messaging, and values, you will run regular content audits and develop a content strategy for South Korea that is aligned with our overarching business objectives and will oversee its implementation.
- You will support our South Korea SEO Lead with Korean keyword research using Naver Keyword Planner to identify high-volume, relevant, and intent-driven terms.
- You will localise the most relevant pages of our English website to ensure the highest rankings of our South Korean sub-folder on Google.
- You will build our presence on Naver’s unique ecosystem from the ground up (launch Canva’s Naver blog, create high-quality blog posts, news articles, and branded content optimised for Naver).
- You will regularly update and optimise our Naver Blog to maintain freshness and engage with comments and community interactions to improve content credibility and user engagement.
- You will champion content requirements for our website and our Naver content, and ensure timely launches by establishing a clear content calendar.
- You will track the impact of that content, write actionable playbooks and deliver articles at the highest quality standards.
- You will review, upload and publish content that follows the latest SEO copy best practices and fits our local tone of voice, which is set by our language managers
- You will build a network of local freelance SEO writers and provide editing support over the medium to long-term
- You will give helpful and constructive feedback as well as coaching to offsite copywriters
- You have a strong eye for detail to catch typos, grammatical lapses and the different nuances of requested topics
- And of course, you’ll have fun and enjoy working with our amazing international team!
About you
- Native Korean Speaker & Strong English Proficiency – Fluent in Korean with business-level English.
- Deep understanding of Naver’s content structure, ranking factors, and SEO pillars (content, technical, and link building).
- Skilled in copywriting, copy editing, and adapting content to resonate with South Korean audiences.

- Ability to optimise content for Naver Café, engage with communities, and answer industry-related questions on Naver Knowledge iN.
