Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia but we engage our Contractors and Freelancers all over the world to help us meet our crazy big goals. As a Contractor or Freelancer at Canva, you can work fully remotely in the country outlined above, meaning you have ultimate flexibility. Wherever works for you, works for us.
What you’d be doing in this role
At Canva, we create tools that empower the world to design. Our mission is to democratise design and empower creativity for anyone and everyone, on every platform! Inspired by a team of talented thinkers, an amazing culture and a remarkable growth trajectory, we’re out to change the world, one design at a time.
Since its launch in August 2013, Canva has grown exponentially. We are one of the world’s fastest-growing startups, and the journey has only just begun. We take great pride in designing a product and an encompassing experience that users really love.
The SEO group keeps growing globally (~150 people globally!). Keyword researchers, Tech SEO specialists, SEO content specialists, Copywriters, Engineers, Data analysts, Designers, Operations specialists – we’ve got it all covered, and in many regions of the world.
We’re looking for a passionate SEO Content Specialist to join and help us scale our next phase of growth in South Korea.
Being supported by our global SEO team, you will expand the foundations of SEO Content strategy in South Korea, from localising our global website for South Korean audiences to creating engaging content on Naver properties (Naver Blog, Cafe, Influencers, etc).
You’ll thrive and adapt in a hyper-growth environment, and be confident in making decisions and tradeoffs backed by data and experience. You have a curiosity for problem-solving, identifying new opportunities and continuous process improvements.
What you'll do
Having a clear overview and understanding of our brand's goals, messaging, and values, you will participate in regular content audits to scale our content strategy in South Korea, in alignment with our overarching business objectives.
You will support our South Korea Content SEO Specialist with Competitor and Korean keyword research using Naver Keyword Planner to identify high-volume, relevant, and intent-driven terms.
You will localise some of the most relevant pages of our English website to ensure the highest rankings of our South Korean sub-folder on Google and Naver.
You will contribute to growing our presence on Naver’s unique ecosystem (Canva’s Naver blog, high-quality blog posts, news articles, and more relevant content optimised for Naver).
You will regularly update and optimise our Naver Blog to maintain freshness and engage with comments and community interactions to improve content credibility and user engagement.
You will follow (and build in) existing content requirements for our website and our Naver content, and ensure timely launches by following our content calendar.
You will track the impact of that content, contribute to writing actionable playbooks and deliver articles at the highest quality standards.
You will upload and publish content that follows the latest SEO copy best practices and fits our local tone of voice, which is set by our language managers
You have a strong eye for detail in order to catch typos, grammatical lapses and the different nuances of requested topics
And of course, you’ll have fun and enjoy working with our amazing international team!
About you
