The buzzing Canva London campus features several buildings around beautiful leafy Hoxton Square in Shoreditch. While our global headquarters is in Sydney, Australia, London is our HQ for Europe, with all kinds of teams based here, plus event spaces to gather our team and communities. When you join our team in the UK, you'll also be joining forces with Flourish, who we acquired in 2022 and is an exciting part of our Canva product. Flourish enables everyone to change the way they tell stories with data by creating rich, animated data visualisations and other interactive content that can be embedded anywhere - including in Canva!
What you’d be doing in this role
At Canva, we believe that design can empower the world. Our platform enables people to bring their ideas to life through beautifully crafted visual content. We're looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our team in London, supporting our Flourish Sales and Success team.
Role Overview:
As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll have the opportunity to identify, develop, and nurture strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth and strengthen customer relationships.
You'll collaborate with the Sales and Success team to identify new business opportunities, optimise existing partnerships, and ensure the successful implementation and utilisation of Canva's products and services, namely Flourish.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
Collaborating closely with the Sales and Success team to identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities.
Researching and analysing market trends and potential business opportunities within the EMEA region, aligning with company goals.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry contacts.
Creating and executing business development strategies that drive revenue growth and expand Canva's market presence.
Supporting the Sales team by providing insights, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations to enhance their sales efforts.
Working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development initiatives.
You're probably a match if:
You have 1.5-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the technology or SaaS industry.
You have a proven track record of successfully identifying and executing partnerships that drive revenue growth.
You get a kick out of collaborating, and bring excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
You bring a high sense of agency - you’re comfortable making decisions and are goal oriented.
You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
You're familiar with design or marketing tools, and an understanding of the SaaS industry being a plus.
You have experience with Salesforce, Outreach Tools and cold calling.
