About the role

We’re looking for an Operations Business Partner (Ops BP) to supercharge how our Growth team delivers, connects, and scales. Growth is a ~500 person, globally distributed org made up of engineers, product managers, data scientists, designers, strategists and operations, and this role is at the heart of helping them all work together seamlessly.

Together with the Growth Operations Team, you’ll support operations for the broader Growth organisation, with a primary focus on partnering with the Revenue Platform Group. As an Ops BP for Revenue Platform, you’ll work closely with a large and rapidly scaling team of ~120+. Revenue Platform has a broad remit — powering pricing and packaging, global payments, subscriptions, billing, fraud prevention, and monetisation models across Canva. With this wide-reaching scope, the Ops BP is essential in keeping the group aligned, connected, and operating at its best.

Reporting to the Growth team's Chief of Staff, you’ll drive clarity, momentum, and cohesion across a fast-moving environment where priorities shift quickly and goals often come with high stakes and short timelines. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds strong human connections, and brings energy, joy, and structure to complex, cross-cutting work.

You’ll partner closely with the Group leadership team, as well as peers across the Growth Supergroup, to lift group performance, strengthen ways of working, and ensure Revenue Platform remains a happy, healthy, high-performing team.


What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Drive Company & Cross-Group Alignment - Supporting Revenue Platform’s role in company-wide goals, running goal stand-ups and reporting, coordinating alignment workshops, and maintaining smooth communication flows so stakeholders stay connected and unblocked.
  • Strengthen Group Operations & Execution: Owning group planning, logistics, rituals, and comms; keeping meetings and operating cadences running smoothly; and building scalable systems and processes that strengthen how the team executes.
  • Champion Culture & People Experience: Partnering with Group Leadership to nurture a thriving and connected culture, leading People initiatives, fostering inclusion and strong relationships, and role-modelling Canva’s values to create a joyful, supportive environment.
  • Navigate Chaos With Clarity: Providing structure and calm in shifting situations, translating ambiguity into clear next steps, and connecting the dots to keep teams moving confidently.
  • Partner Across the Growth Supergroup: Strengthening alignment across Growth, collaborating with peer Operations Business Partners to evolve operating systems, support Growth-wide initiatives, and ensure Revenue Platform stays connected and effective within the broader organisation.
  • Connecting and engaging the wider team: Designing, organising, and facilitating org-wide cadences -like All Hands - and crafting clear, engaging communication so people feel informed, connected, and aligned on what matters.

You're probably a match if

  • You have a few years experience in operations, program/project management, or an equivalent team-enabling role.

  • You’re passionate about team culture and connection and you enjoy creating experiences (onsites, events, rituals) that make distributed teams feel engaged and included.

  • You’re an excellent communicator, able to influence without authority, craft clear updates, rally teams, and make sure no one misses the context.

  • You’re a natural connector who builds trust quickly across disciplines (engineering, product, design, data, and operations) and helps teams stay aligned without friction.

  • You have a bias to action, and love turning complexity into clarity - whether that’s facilitating workshops, simplifying processes, or helping others see the big picture.

  • You thrive in ambiguity when priorities shift or problems don’t have a clear owner, you lean in, figure it out, and bring people with you.

  • You operate with judgment and urgency knowing when to dive into the details, and when to zoom out to see the big picture.
