Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia, but with many of our Canvanauts calling the Philippines home, our office in Manila is a buzzing place. Whether your role needs you in the office, at home or a bit of both, we've created an environment that truly empowers you to thrive.
What you’d be doing in this role
This hands-on chef role involves managing daily food services at the PH Campus. You will be responsible for overseeing and actual preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch, as well as nighttime meals for our night shift employees. In addition, you will assist in leading and facilitating special events while playing a vital role in research and development, menu planning, and expanding our culinary offerings as the campus grows.
Working alongside a dynamic kitchen team, you will actively participate in crafting innovative menus, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and upholding high kitchen standards. Your contributions will be essential in delivering a world-class food program that reflects Canva’s core values of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
At the moment, this role is focused on:

- Events & Experiences
- Support internal and external events—including cooking classes, team celebrations, learning sessions, and large-scale activation days.
- Kitchen & Service Partner Management, and Compliance
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, sustainable waste management, and kitchen maintenance procedures.
- Look after kitchen equipment and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Lead and supervise our service partner in our daily operations
- Inventory & Systems
- Support inventory management through checks, ordering, stocking, and optimizing costs.
- Acquire advanced skills in spreadsheets and internal systems for menu planning, cost analysis, and operational tasks.
- Serve as the primary user of the Canva app for daily operational and admin tasks.

- Collaborate seamlessly with the HospoX and other Vibe teams to attain exceptional interoperability.
- Provide assistance to the Front of House (FOH) when necessary, maintaining a service-first attitude.
- Contribute to the scaling of kitchen operations to accommodate future growth.
You're probably a match if
- You bring proven kitchen experience with strong culinary skills across diverse cuisines, along with relevant culinary qualifications and food hygiene/safety certifications.
- You’ve spent 5+ years in high-volume cooking environments—think hotels, restaurants, or large-scale catering—and you’re confident under pressure.
- You understand dietary requirements deeply and bring creativity to inclusive menu development, from planning through to presentation.
- You’re available for full-time work and amenable to a shifting schedule, including some late evening shifts or event support. You’re also comfortable with onsite work five days a week.
- You’re reliable, communicative, and work well with others.
- You’re highly detail-oriented, organised, and equally comfortable working independently or collaboratively.
- You’re adaptable and thrive on change, innovation, and big ideas—especially when it comes to food, culture, and service.
- You’re self-motivated and stay cool under pressure—balancing deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
- You’ve got strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- You’re a team player and happy to jump in to help your teammates when needed.
- You align with Canva’s mission and values—and you’re excited about being part of a team that lives them.
- You’re confident using tools like Zoom and Slack, and you’re comfortable on a Mac—though this isn’t a dealbreaker.
