What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Leading the engagement strategy for strategic audiences, driving adoption of Canva's products including: Canva Education, Canva Pro, Canva Business and Affinity.

  • Gaining buy-in from stakeholders and work with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful strategies and improve business metrics.

  • Automating and personalising campaigns across various customer dimensions while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

You're probably a match if

  • You have 5–7 years of experience in engagement marketing, specializing in lifecycle channels (Email, Push Notifications, In-App Messages).
  • You have a strong grasp of lifecycle marketing trends that drive user retention and engagement.
  • You collaborate effectively to co-create unique, creative, and content-driven campaigns.
  • You bring hands-on experience crafting and deploying campaigns across a multi-channel tech stack.
  • You own a messaging calendar and project backlog that reflect stakeholder priorities.
  • You have a track record of innovation and results optimization using structured testing frameworks.
  • You use data confidently to derive insights that shape both strategy and execution.
  • You have experience executing programs on a global scale for a diverse user base.
  • You communicate clearly, manage multiple priorities, and keep stakeholders informed of progress.
  • You have experience managing and developing other team members.

About the team

Canva’s Lifecycle Marketing Team is on a mission to help users achieve their goals and grow with Canva. We do this by identifying ways to delight users, delivering just-in-time recommendations and enriching content, and launching experiments to continuously learn and improve. We specialise in leveraging owned channels to deliver tangible value to users.

The mission of the Strategic Audiences Lead on the Lifecycle Marketing team is to drive awareness of our product offerings amongst strategic audiences and help them get the most out of Canva by taking advantage of our magic design tools. Working in collaboration with the creative and business teams, you’ll implement recurring lifecycle programs that drive opt-in, repeat visitorship, feature discovery and brand love. Your keys to success will be: the ability to connect with our community, craft resonant messaging across a range of formats, and efficiently deliver results on a global scale.
