Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hey, g’day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be time consuming, so we’ll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work — we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. This role sits within Design School, where we help millions of people learn Canva and become confident creators. As a Content Creator (Product Educator) for Design School, you'll be responsible for creating educational content that teaches people how to get the most out of Canva's growing suite of products, across multiple formats, audiences, and learner levels. You'll own the full content creation process, from understanding a product and identifying what people need to learn, through to scripting, shooting, editing, and shipping finished work that lives across Design School channels.

We're looking for someone who's a self-sufficient creator, someone who can take a product learning goal and turn it into a piece of content that's clear, watchable, and full of personality.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Creating end-to-end educational content across video (short-form and long-form), written formats (tutorials, guides, articles), in-product learning experiences, and workshop material for live and virtual delivery.
  • Teaching people how to use multiple Canva products, adapting your approach for different learner levels, from first-time users through to advanced creators.
  • Translating product knowledge and learning intentions into content that feels genuinely engaging, not just informative, but something people want to watch and share.
  • Writing, shooting, and editing your own video content, bringing the Canva brand voice and real personality to everything you produce.
  • Creating and delivering workshop content to global audiences, whether at live events, virtual sessions, or through scalable self-paced formats.
  • Partnering with Product, Platform, Ops, and Product Marketing teams to stay close to the product roadmap and ensure your content reflects what's current and what's coming.
  • Helping raise the bar for content quality across the team, sharing your approach and informally mentoring other creators.

You’re probably a match if

  • You're a creator first. You have a strong portfolio that shows you can write, shoot, edit, and ship your own content end-to-end.
  • You know how to make educational content feel watchable. You think about pacing, personality, and storytelling, not just information delivery.
  • You're comfortable on camera or behind a mic, and confident being the voice and face of the content you create.
  • You can break down complex product features into clear, approachable learning moments for a range of audiences.
  • You're adaptable across formats, able to context-switch between a video shoot, a workshop script, and a long-form written guide without missing a beat.
  • You thrive with ownership and autonomy, and you're energised by shipping work, not just planning it.

Essential skills and experience

  • A strong background in content creation, with demonstrated experience producing your own video, written, and/or workshop content.
  • Proven ability to create educational or explainer content, ideally around software, digital products, or creative tools.
  • Confident on-camera or voice-over presence.
  • Strong writing skills that adapt across tone, depth, and format.
  • High product fluency, with the ability to pick up new tools quickly and translate complexity into clear, engaging content.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, marketing, or education teams.

Bonus if you have

  • Experience creating content at scale across global audiences.
  • A background in education, learning design, or edtech.
  • Experience delivering live workshops or training sessions.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching other content creators.
