The Role

As we continue to build out our lending product suite, we looking for an experienced credit risk professional who can work alongside our client banks to implement and operationalise their credit policies. You will also work closely with internal Product and Engineering teams to understand the product roadmap, and inform the associated build required for credit decisioning, ongoing assessment, collections and hardship decisioning. You will own the credit configuration that is offered on our platform, with an objective to entirely automate credit decisioning and lifecycle across all lending products.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the development of the platforms credit capabilities and implementation of credit strategies that can be configured by our clients based on their risk appetite, framework and policies
  • Effectively engage with our clients and internal product and engineering teams to ensure that client credit policy requirements can be automated or otherwise fulfilled by platform configuration
  • Own and implement automated controls over all elements of credit risk implementation on platform to ensure our client’s exposures are managed in line with relevant regulatory requirements
  • Lead testing and assurance programs internally and with external auditors where required
  • Utilise data to identify areas of improvement and then collaborate with cross functional internal teams to deliver on-going improvements to processes, tooling and frameworks
  • Manage and develop appropriate business requirement artefacts to enable clear and concise communication to our clients

Who You Are

  • Credit risk subject matter expert with comprehensive experience in developing and implementing credit policies, frameworks and strategies from scratch
  • Deep understanding of credit risk across both Retail and Business lending, and across both secured and unsecured products
  • Adept at navigating uncertainty and complexity, and comfortable working both independently and in a team
  • Hands-on, execution-orientated, and able to deliver impact whilst bringing strong subject matter expertise rigour
  • A bias towards action and an ownership mindset, and working on whatever it takes to solve problems and delight users
  • Have a keen eye for detail, a high bar for quality and strong communication skills - both oral and written
  • Startup experience is valued highly
