The Role
You will play a crucial role in leading the management of operational risk and compliance within the Constantinople Banking Cloud Platform and corporate environment. You will be joining a growing risk and compliance team, with opportunities to delve deep in the areas of digital/cloud banking products and services (i.e. transaction banking, payments, lending), software development, third party management, privacy and data protection. You'll collaborate with various teams to provide advice, drive important initiatives and execute on a range of control assurance and governance activities. As an AI-native company, we expect you to work the same way - leveraging AI tools to scale risk and compliance activities, while applying your own judgement and expertise to ensure all outputs meets the standard required to meet the businesses objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Support identification and assessment of risks and obligations within new features and products delivered on the Constantinople Banking Cloud Platform; and perform deep dive reviews on priority risk classes.
  • Alongside Product and Engineering Managers, support the design and implementation of controls and monitoring activities across the product and corporate environment
  • Drive action plans and uplift activities across the platform or guide other teams in their uplift activities
  • Manage regulatory change - monitor the regulatory horizon, assess the impact of new and changing obligations, and coordinate implementation across affected services
  • Coordinate internal testing and independent assurance reviews, (e.g. the Constantinople SOC 2 program)
  • Execute governance activities such as third party due diligence, organisational risk forums, change management / impact assessments, issue and incident management
  • Use AI tools to automate and scale risk and compliance workflows across the full risk management framework / lifecycle

Who You Are

  • Sound knowledge of operational risk and compliance management concepts, frameworks, and standards
  • Strong understanding of the Australian compliance and regulatory landscape as it relates to banking products and services to small business and/or retail customers. Experience with prudential requirements also desirable.
  • Experience in banking and or financial services
  • Experience in design processes and/or software development
  • Digitally proficient and curious - comfortable using AI tools and eager to build them into your day-to-day work. Critically, you know what good looks like: you can direct AI effectively, critique its output, and take accountability for the quality of the end result.
  • Strong teamwork skills that foster productive relationships and contribute to company culture
  • Ability to work autonomously, tackle complex problems, prioritise, communicate with and influence stakeholders in respect of risk management
