The role:

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer motivated by the opportunity to be at the forefront of shaping the user experience for our products, and work closely with the founders and lead product designer. This is a ground floor opportunity where you will tackle unique design challenges and play a critical role in driving the end-to-end customer experience. You will evolve our design process and own projects to deliver impact across the entire product.

This role is for an individual contributor who is genuinely passionate about learning, championing users, moving fast and owning decisions to ship software every day.

What you’ll do:

• Lead design and user experience for important parts of our core product: Take ownership of design projects from concept to delivery, you’ll create low fidelity concepts for research as well as polished high-fidelity designs that delight our customers.
• Guide teams through the discovery and design process: Plan and facilitate workshops that help teams define problems, explore solutions, and align on design directions.
• Advocate for our users: Conduct user research and usability tests to gather insights and validate design decisions. Thoughtfully disseminate insights to the team, ensuring that user needs are at the forefront of decision-making.
• Bring an incredible design focus: Sweat the details, strive for simplicity, and tie together interconnected projects to make complex tasks approachable.
• Promote and evangelise design thinking across the organisation: Champion design best practices and user-centred principles. Participate in day to day rituals like design reviews. And help us hire more amazing designers to grow the design team and bring diverse perspectives to our design process

About you:

• A problem solver, well-versed in discovery techniques
• A history of working on consumer facing products
• Excellent visual design skills and strong understanding of UX principles
• Experience leading teams through the design process
• Passionate about creating polished, well-considered, high-fidelity designs, with a portfolio to showcase your expertise.
• Experience designing best in class mobile experiences

Technical requirements:

• Minimum 4 years in working in product design
• Ability to take an initiative from defining the problem through to polished dev-ready design
• Expertise in discovery techniques and workshop facilitation.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-fidelity designs and prototypes.
• Experience in B2C consumer products or experience working for a product-focused tech company.
