As our Sales Manager, you’ll be given the challenge of leading and growing an ambitious team of Account Executives in a relatively new market for us, South East Asia. As part of our Sales Leadership Team, you’ll play a critical role in strategic decision-making, identifying actionable areas for improvement, and making efficiencies to our go-to-market strategy for Malaysia and Singapore.
We are seeking a data-driven, growth focused and ‘hands on’ player-coach who will help to achieve our company goals. More about your team: our Account Executives inspire their customers to leverage HR transformation through Employment Hero, and run the full sales cycle from demo through to close. You’ll spend your time managing and building an amazing team while developing strong revenue growth for yourself, your team and Employment Hero.
You’ll work hand in hand with the SDR Lead, Channel Sales Lead, Head of Marketing for SEA, as well as MD for the region.

As our Sales Manager for South East Asia, you’ll be responsible for:
- Executing our sales program that will ensure achievement of plan and net new revenue targets for each of your Account Executives
- Drive the performance of the team, ensuring individual and team sales targets are consistently exceeded and ensure full ownership and accountability of appropriate KPI’s
- Grow and lead - recruiting and retaining a high-performance and highly engaged sales team
- Train, develop and motivate sales team in skills, sales methodologies and activities, and product
- Work with your team to understand customer needs and requirements
- Create compelling, values based transformation opportunities that drive customer engagement
- Identify prospective markets and lead sources
- Assist with performing effective online demos to prospects when required
- Ensure team adoption and accurate use of Salesforce CRM and reinforce best practices to include compliance with governance, timely updates, and accurate reporting
Sales Planning
- Use knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop Employment Hero’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, other sales teams, and client services to develop strategies and execution plans to grow the pipeline
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
Data & Reporting
- Ensure team adoption and accurate use of Salesforce CRM and reinforce best practices to include compliance with governance, timely updates, and accurate reporting
- Deliver consistent and accurate sales forecast reports utilising Salesforce
- Continuous tracking and optimising conversions, success and revising plans based on data
- Ensure team adoption and accurate use of Salesforce CRM and reinforce best practices to include compliance with governance, timely updates, and accurate reporting
- Ensure usage of all sales tools such as Linkedin Sales Navigator, Cognism, Lusha, Whatsapp for business, Chilli Piper and SPIFF
Innovation
- Seek solutions to current problems both internally, externally and within the market
- Introduce first to market ideas that have not been considered or implemented
- Disrupt the market, inventing new product features
- Capture customer ideas and requests for new product features and feed this back to the product team
- Monitor research and development of other organisations in our market to ensure Employment Hero develops solutions faster than our competitors
What will you bring
- 6+ years’ experience in high volume B2B sales, with a minimum 3+ years’ experience leading B2B sales teams
- Training in sales techniques/methodologies preferred
- Understanding of the Human Resources and Payroll Industry (SaaS would also be beneficial)
- Experience selling to SMEs at scale
- A track record of over-achieving on team targets and strong experience of coaching and mentoring your team
- Problem solving and analytical thinking with a natural interest for all aspects of data, analysis, excel and charts
- Energetic, driven and results-focused personality
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively
- Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Willing to challenge the status quo, innovate, and look for smarter ways of doing things
- Bachelor's degree (business or commerce related) preferable.
