About the Team
Our Partnerships and Payroll team is growing. We're looking for an amazing Intermediate Software Development Engineer (.Net) to join us as we scale our products and features, and take on interesting technical challenges.
This role will help us continue the development and modernizing of our Payroll system, where we're on a journey of moving to a service-oriented and microservices mixed architecture, following our .Net Core migration. You'll be able to learn from our cross-functional teams, including working with geographically distributed teams. You'll accelerate your career quickly working with smart people across the UK and APAC in a fully remote, flexible environment.
This Role
As an Intermediate Full Stack Engineer, you will balance core technical development with an evolving approach to features, ownership, and collaborative problem-solving. Your responsibilities will include:
- End-to-End Development: Contribute to development for new and current cloud-based applications, ranging from solution design with your squad and feature development through to production deployment, optimization, and maintenance.
- Problem Solving & Triage: Debug and perform root cause analysis for application issues, focusing on building sustainable solutions rather than simple stop-gaps.
- Quality Control: Investigate existing code for functionality to ensure it meets technical standards, and actively perform peer reviews of code changes.
- Process Initiative: Proactively identify application pain points, recommend process improvements, and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Agile Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering leads within an agile environment.
- Documentation & Enablement: Maintain clear technical documentation, code tests, and help articles for new features, while providing training sessions to the support team for updates.
