About Eucalyptus

We’re on a mission to make good health last a lifetime. More than 1 billion people live with obesity worldwide, driving preventable chronic conditions. We’re here to build better long-term care.

Euc is the company behind Juniper, one of the world’s largest weight-management programs combining GLP-1 medication with personalised nutrition, movement support, and clinician-led care from prescribers, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists, and dietitians. Our published clinical research shows that our combined clinical and behavioural approach helps patients lose significantly more weight during their treatment with Juniper by four times.

Our Growth Story:

  • 130% YoY revenue growth and 90% reduction in cash burn, with $100M+ raised from investors including BOND, NewView, Blackbird and Airtree.
  • Scaled to over 100,000 monthly active patients across our weight-management program.
  • Grew the UK patient base from 4,000 to ~40,000 and received selective NICE endorsement to provide services to the NHS.
  • Tailored our offering to over 5,000 patients in Germany and Japan

About the role (What you’ll be doing)

As a Data Scientist at Eucalyptus, you’ll use data, experimentation, and machine learning to help build the next generation of personalised healthcare experiences. You’ll work closely with data engineers, ML engineers, and product teams to design, test, and evaluate data-driven solutions that make a real impact on patient outcomes.

In this role, you’ll focus on applied modelling, production AI systems, analytical thinking, and experimentation. You will help translate ideas into prototypes and production-ready insights. You’ll contribute to the full data science lifecycle: from exploring datasets and defining features, to evaluating models and interpreting results for decision-makers.

  • Develop and validate models: Build, test, and iterate on statistical and machine learning models to support product features and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with engineers: Work with data and ML engineers to move experiments into production and ensure reliability and interpretability.
  • Explore and analyse data: Conduct exploratory analyses to identify patterns, generate hypotheses, and shape model or product directions.
  • Design and measure experiments: Partner with product teams to run A/B tests or pilots, and translate results into actionable insights.
  • Communicate findings: Present results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, connecting data science outcomes to user and business impact.

About you (Who you are)

You’re an analytical thinker who’s comfortable turning data into insights and models into impact. You enjoy learning from others across disciplines and are eager to grow your technical and applied skills in a fast-moving environment.

You have:

  • 2–4 years of experience in data science, applied analytics, or machine learning.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience using data science libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch.
  • Experience exploring and cleaning large datasets, and understanding how data quality impacts modelling.
  • A working knowledge of ML concepts, such as feature engineering, cross-validation, and model evaluation.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data tools (e.g. BigQuery, Vertex AI, or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to product, clinical, and engineering stakeholders.
  • A growth mindset - curious, collaborative, and motivated to learn from feedback and experimentation.
