We’re Fetch – a startup helping Aussies master modern pet-parenting with the cutest pet insurance around. We’ve built our tech stack from scratch, covering everything from policies to claims and apps for pet parents, vets, and our customer care team. Pet parents are loving Fetch! We're the highest-rated on ProductReview at 4.9 ⭐️, have a +75 NPS, and 70% of pet parents said they’d be very disappointed if they could no longer use Fetch!
But we're not stopping there. We're aiming to support pet parents with their go-to pet health app and scale across multiple countries 🌏. It’s a great time to join a growing team to shape the product, culture and for a slice of the early pie with lots of upside.
Your new team 👫
We’re a small team with big ambitions; the work is hard but rewarding, with new challenges and learnings daily. We're 5 full-stack devs – and we’re the superstars 🌟 of Fetch (even if we're too humble to admit it publicly). We get lots of autonomy, ownership over the product, and ship fast.
Fetch is a very open, meritocratic team. You’ll have your own ideas, enjoy being involved, and challenge all areas and members of the team, including the founders. You’ll also seek and enjoy receiving feedback (everyone has an opinion on design 👩🎨!).
The rest of the team? They're okay too... a team of pet lovers, vets, and insurance pros. We've raised over $3M led by Airtree, with backers including vets, insurance CEOs, pet retailers, marketing experts, startup founders, and tech leaders.
Your role
We need a sensational front-end dev to join our team as our first front-end specialist. You'll lead, design systems, set up best practices, and own our apps for pet parents, vets and the customer care team.
🖥️ Focus on Flutter front-end development, but be comfortable across the stack.
👨💻 Build and own UI components, and collaborate with Product Design to ensure design consistency.
🔍 Optimise performance, resolve UI/UX issues, and apply best practices for scalability and efficiency
🛠️ Write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough code reviews
📈 Monitor and improve app performance and responsiveness
🚀 Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our apps are cutting-edge
