Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books across Xero (Australia), Xero (NZ), and Zoho/India.
- Prepare reconciliations for bank, credit card, payroll clearing, GST, and intercompany accounts.
- Prepare month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, FX adjustments, revenue deferrals).
- Assist with monthly management reporting and analysis.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and contractor bills.
- Prepare vendor onboarding documentation.
- Prepare payment batches for approval by the Finance Manager.
- Support GST/BAS preparation with Australian advisors.
- Liaise with the Indian CA firm on TDS, GST, ROC, and statutory filings.
- Keep documentation organised for audits, tax, and investor due diligence.
- Maintain high-quality audit trails across Xero and Zoho.
- Recommend improvements to workflows, controls, and reporting cadence.
- Help implement new tools (expense management, payroll, approvals workflows).
- Contribute to building a scalable global finance function.
- 3-6 years in audit, outsourced accounting, or bookkeeping (Big 4 or top-tier CA firms strongly preferred).
- Experience with cloud accounting platforms (Xero in particular).
- Strong understanding of reconciliations, monthly close, and core accounting principles.
- Exposure to Indian statutory compliance (TDS, GST, MCA filings).
- Excellent English communication skills - written and verbal.
- High accuracy, structured working style, and strong ownership.
- Experience working with Australian or international clients.
- Familiarity with SaaS revenue or subscription models.
- Analytical mindset and comfort with Google Sheets/Excel modelling.
