The Opportunity

FrankieOne is entering a new phase of growth — and a fundamental shift in how we build software.

AI is transforming software development end-to-end. We’re creating a dedicated leadership role to redesign how our entire build organisation operates across Product, Engineering, QA, Delivery, and Operations.

This is not a traditional “run the team” role.
This is a transformation mandate.

You will define and lead our transition to an AI-native software development lifecycle, unlocking step-change improvements in speed, quality, and efficiency — while maintaining the security and compliance standards required in a regulated fintech environment.


What You’ll Do

Lead AI-Native Transformation

  • Define and execute the roadmap to an AI-native SDLC

  • Identify and implement high-impact AI use cases across the development lifecycle

  • Deliver measurable improvements in:

    • Engineering velocity

    • Delivery predictability

    • Product quality

    • Operational efficiency

Redesign How Work Gets Done

  • Move beyond linear handoffs and manual-heavy processes

  • Embed AI into workflows across design, development, testing, and operations

  • Create faster feedback loops and more integrated delivery systems

  • Improve documentation and knowledge accessibility at scale

Build Modern Engineering Systems

  • Introduce AI-assisted coding, testing, and review workflows

  • Evolve CI/CD into more automated, intelligent, and adaptive systems

  • Improve QA, test automation, and observability

  • Define new ways to measure engineering performance

Lead a High-Performing Organisation

  • Own a 40+ person build organisation (Engineering, QA, DevSecOps)

  • Lead and develop engineering leaders and squads

  • Establish strong operating rhythms across planning, delivery, and incident management

  • Drive clarity in ownership, standards, and expectations

Drive Change Across the Business

  • Bring engineers, product, and delivery teams on the journey

  • Manage adoption, alignment, and cultural change

  • Influence across teams and stakeholders

Ensure Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Define guardrails for AI usage in a regulated environment

  • Ensure systems remain secure, auditable, and reliable

  • Maintain or improve quality while transforming how work is done

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • Senior engineering leadership in B2B SaaS environments

  • Experience leading multi-squad organisations (30+ engineers)

  • Strong platform and architecture judgement

  • Proven track record improving delivery performance at scale

AI & Transformation

  • Hands-on experience applying AI to software development workflows

  • Ability to redesign systems and workflows — not just introduce tools

  • Clear perspective on where AI adds value (and where it doesn’t)

Leadership

  • Strong communicator and change leader

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity

  • Able to influence cross-functional teams

Mindset

  • Builder, not just operator
