The Data team at Go1 offers global Data and AI-centric services, including search, recommendations, content enrichment, and skills taxonomy. We collaborate with internal partners to enhance customer experiences and products. Combining Data Governance, Software, and Data Engineering expertise to provide platforms, tooling, and templates that empower our people to use data effectively. This team also captures and models core data into Data Products and promotes good data practices across Go1.

What Does a Data Engineer Do Every Day at Go1?

As a Data Engineer at Go1, you will build and maintain data products, infrastructure, and tooling for key domains and use cases. Your work will impact Analytics, Experimentation, and AI models powering Go1 products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with key stakeholders to define technical solutions.
  • Demonstrating excellent verbal communication skills for cross-functional team engagement.
  • Analyzing, designing, developing, and testing data processing pipelines, warehouses, marts, models, and SQL queries.
  • Scripting for orchestration, operation, and data management.
  • Managing Azure infrastructure and services.
  • Supporting Data Consumers by resolving data issues and tuning queries.
  • Conducting performance analysis and optimization of databases, SQL queries, ETL processes, and physical schemas.
  • Providing operational support, monitoring data pipelines and infrastructure, and managing CI/CD and incident management.

What will make us excited abut you

  • Approximately 2 years experience in Data Engineering
  • Driven by requirements to acquire, manipulate, process, and demonstrate value from large datasets
  • Experienced in integrating streaming and batch data from source systems
  • Strong analytical skills with structured and unstructured datasets
  • Proficient in big data tools and batch processing technologies
  • Experienced with Spark SQL (Databricks), PySpark (Python), and scripting languages like Python and Scala
  • Proficient in SQL and data pipeline/workflow management tools
  • Knowledgeable in source control and CI/CD
  • Experienced in testing data from Bronze to Golden Layers
