At Go1, we exist to enable companies to achieve the impossible by maximizing the potential of their people. From our humble beginnings to becoming the world’s largest aggregator of online learning content, our purpose has remained people-first. We believe in a future where individuals, organizations, and society can continually progress — powered by accessible, relevant learning. That’s why we bring together learning content from over 250 leading providers under a single subscription, making skill development and compliance training the easiest part of the job.

We’re curious by nature and driven by the belief that the best ideas come from enabling others. Our team—diverse in background but aligned in purpose — is the reason we’ve come this far. Every idea. Every step forward. Every learner's potential maximized.

Together, we’re building more than a solution — we’re creating a movement. One where our customers spend more time doing what they love — developing people — and less time on the things they don’t. And there’s still so much more ahead. Join us as we shape a culture to earn the love and loyalty of our customers and become the preferred learning content aggregator.

The opportunity:

As the Accounting Manager at Go1, you’ll play a key role in driving the integrity and accuracy of our global financial reporting. Reporting to the US-based Assistant Controller and managing a team of 8 (5 direct reports) across the APAC region, this role blends leadership, process ownership, and strategic insight. With a strong emphasis on month-end close, audit coordination, and continuous process improvement, you’ll be empowered to take initiative, lead through change, and collaborate across functions. Based in the Australian Eastern Time Zone (AEST/AEDT), this role supports a globally distributed team and executive leadership primarily located in the United States—so flexibility in working hours will be essential to ensure strong collaboration and visibility.

What does an Accounting Manager do every day at Go1?

  • Lead and project manage the global month-end close process in NetSuite (in conjunction with the Revenue Accounting Manager), including accrual provisions, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across multiple entities and currencies.
  • Oversee a high-performing team responsible for General Ledger (GL), Payroll Accounting, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P), providing guidance and coaching to support their development.
  • Manage the preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Build team processes which anticipate and provide answers for financial data questions from stakeholders.
  • Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by the team, with hands-on support where necessary.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic finance projects that allow greater insights into Company performance.
  • Support the preparation of monthly consolidated financial reports, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Prepare reporting for various stakeholders (internal and external) to make informed decisions within tight reporting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the wider team on a range of exciting finance projects.
  • Own readiness for ongoing external audits, including preparation and review of audit schedules and deliverables.
  • Work cross-functionally to help ensure timely and accurate compliance with financial, tax, and legal obligations across jurisdictions.
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements to drive efficiency, automation, and scalability.
  • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and eliminations.
  • Work with the Assistant Controller, Revenue Accounting Manager, and cross-functional team to maintain a strong internal control framework and sound financial foundation.
  • Coordinate effectively across time zones, including with executive leadership based in the U.S., requiring flexibility in working hours.

We will be excited about you if you have:

  • You'll bring with you at least 5 years of experience in a business-focused Financial/Management Accountant role.
  • Proven expertise in NetSuite, including experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency close processes and consolidations.
  • You're a confident communicator who builds successful partnerships with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • You bring solid finance technical skills (bonus if you're CA/CPA qualified) and love diving into data with tools like Excel and BI software.
  • You're proactive, curious, and not afraid to challenge the norm to drive continuous improvement.
  • You've likely worked in a high-growth or tech/SaaS environment, and you're used to juggling priorities and working across global time zones.
  • You have the flexibility to collaborate across global time zones, particularly within the APAC region and the Pacific time zone.
  • Most importantly, you lead by example and bring a mindset of collaboration and progress.
