Compliance is a $50B global problem, and we are rewriting how it’s solved. We aren't looking for "ticket-takers" or builders who wait for a specification document to get things going.

We are looking for high-agency engineers who have the passion to solve complex problems and the drive to own the solution from the first line of code to the final user interaction.

The Role:

As an AI Engineer, you won’t just be "tuning prompts." You’ll lead the development of high-impact systems, architecting how our AI detects risks in real-time and ensuring our search infrastructure is robust, fast, and incredibly accurate.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Extreme Ownership: You take full accountability for the AI systems you build, from initial discovery and RAG architecture to production deployment and monitoring.

• Product-Led AI: You don’t just build "cool tech"; you challenge "why" and "how" to ensure our AI is actually solving the user’s problem with high precision.

• Technical Agility: You’ll move seamlessly between architecting hybrid search methods (combining vector databases and LLMs) and building the scalable backend logic that powers them.

• Drive Excellence: You raise the bar for the team. You champion benchmarking, continuous model evaluation, and a "ship fast, but never broken" mentality.

• Mentorship: You lead by example, fuelling a culture of curiosity, precision, and continuous learning in the AI space.

What you’ll bring

While our environment involves Python (FastAPI), RAG architectures, and hybrid search, we value architectural thinking and clean code over a list of tools on a CV.

If you have deep experience in ML engineering, search infrastructure (Vespa, OpenSearch), or building complex real-time inference systems - we want to talk to you.

You’re a fit if:

• You have a Production Track Record: You’ve built and scaled ML/AI systems in the real world (not just in notebooks). We're looking for someone with strong commercial AI experience, ideally at a senior level.

• You have a Product Mindset: You are driven by impact, not just model accuracy. You care about the business problem we are solving.

• You are Accountability-First: When you say "I've got the retrieval strategy handled," the team knows it’s as good as done.

• You are a Polished Craftsman: You have an eye for detail and an obsession with making AI outputs feel reliable, trustworthy, and "right" for the user.
