Talent Acquisition Specialist
HEO Robotics
HEO is the world’s first commercial non-Earth imaging (NEI) and insights services company. NEI involves capturing resolved imagery of space objects using cameras mounted on other satellites, and deriving information and intelligence from the captured imagery. Our technology helps governments and commercial companies to visually monitor their spacecraft and other space objects they care about. Our vision is to image anything in the solar system on-demand. Read more about NEI here.
We are building out a high-performing interdisciplinary team capable of pushing the boundaries of space technology. We are growing fast and looking for talented, passionate people that value collaboration, growth and learning to join our team.
HEO is a post Series-A company backed by high-profile venture funds including Airtree, Y Combinator and In-Q-Tel. We are headquartered in Sydney, Australia with offices in London, UK, Tokyo, Japan and Washington DC, USA.
About the role
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at HEO, you will lead and scale our global recruitment efforts as we enter a critical phase of growth. You will own the end-to-end hiring lifecycle for a diverse range of roles, from niche deep tech engineering and data science positions to operational and senior leadership roles across our international offices. Working closely with our founders and technical leads, you’ll be a strategic partner in identifying and attracting the specialised talent required to advance our non-Earth imaging capabilities.
This is a 360-degree role that requires a balance of high-touch candidate management and proactive headhunting. You will be responsible for building sustainable talent pipelines, managing our global internship programs, and ensuring our values remain central to our expansion. You'll nail this role if you're comfortable navigating the complexities of the deep tech ecosystem and can deliver a seamless, professional experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
Your key responsibilities
- Drive the full end-to-end recruitment process for roles globally
- Partner with our technical leads to understand the nuances of our highly specialised and technical roles. You’ll translate complex engineering requirements into compelling narratives that attract passive talent.
- Manage a diverse requisition load that spans the entire career spectrum, from designing and executing our internship intake to headhunting for senior leadership positions.
- Act as a brand ambassador for HEO, attending industry events and leveraging social platforms to tell the story of our mission and technology.
- Own the end-to-end onboarding journey, ensuring every new hire is integrated effectively into HEO’s culture and has the tools needed to succeed from day one.
- Support the broader growth of the team by leaning into special projects that improve our hiring efficiency and ensure HEO remains a competitive destination for top-tier talent.
Skills and experiences:
- 5+ years of global 360 recruitment experience.
- You’ve worked in a fast-growing start up or scale up where you learned to juggle shifting priorities and ambiguous situations.
- Proven experience managing international hiring and an understanding of how to navigate different talent markets and time zones.
- Exceptional communication skills. You’re able to context switch with ease, going from a technical interview with a software engineer candidate to talking a new hiring manager through their first hiring process
- Advanced LinkedIn user, comfortable using other platforms for candidate sourcing. You’re also great at building long-lasting relationships with both active candidates and passive leads.
- You’re incredibly organised, able to handle multiple roles at different levels without letting a single candidate experience slip through the cracks.
- A genuine curiosity for deep tech and the space industry is a plus.

Our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
We make hiring decisions based on your experience, skills and passion, as well as how you can enhance HEO and our culture. Research shows that women and underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single competency or experience. If you are excited about this role, but your past experience doesn't align perfectly, we encourage you to apply anyway. You could be just the right person for this role and HEO. If you have any support or access requirements, we encourage you to advise us at time of application and throughout the interview process.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check.
