Speech Pathologist - Bendigo Region
Kismet
Are you a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist looking for flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful work? Kismet Healthcare is growing, and we’re seeking a skilled independent contractor to provide therapy services in the Bendigo region.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a dedicated Speech Pathologist with at least 4 years of clinical experience to deliver evidence-based, person-centred services across a diverse caseload. You’ll work directly with clients and families in community settings such as homes and schools, with the freedom to shape your own day and caseload.
At Kismet, we’re all about getting people seen when they need it—not months later. We’re building a more responsive, connected model of care where clients don’t wait, and clinicians are empowered to work in a way that truly works for them.
To be considered for this role, you must live in or near the Bendigo region and be comfortable travelling within the area to deliver services. This is a community-based role that involves driving between appointments in homes, schools, and other local settings.
This role offers:
- Complete flexibility to manage your own hours, clients, and workflow
- Autonomous practice, supported by a broader professional network when needed
- The opportunity to build strong, lasting relationships with clients and make a meaningful impact on their lives
This is an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated clinician who thrives working independently but appreciates having access to resources, clinical support, and a values-driven organisation behind them.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out thorough evaluations to identify a client’s strengths and challenges in speech, language, communication, and swallowing
- Design and deliver personalised therapy plans that reflect each client's unique goals and circumstances
- Provide direct intervention in home, school, and community settings as appropriate to client needs
- Work collaboratively with families, teachers, and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic and integrated care
- Keep clear, organised, and up-to-date records in line with professional and regulatory standards
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology
- Minimum 4 years of clinical experience
- Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
- Strong assessment, intervention, and clinical reasoning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- A proactive, flexible, and client-centred approach
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Prepared to obtain:
- ABN
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance
- Police Check, WWCC, and NDIS Worker Screening Check
