The Role
We’re looking for a Performance Marketing Manager (SEM + CRO) to take full ownership of Linktree’s global search engine marketing (SEM) strategy and conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives. You will lead the planning, execution, and continuous optimization of campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and emerging search platforms to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
As a channel leader, you’ll be responsible not only for scaling paid search performance but also for optimizing the full conversion journey – from ad creative to landing page experience. You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Design, Analytics, and SEO teams to maximize the impact of every dollar spent and every visitor acquired.
This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who combines hands-on SEM expertise with a strong CRO mindset, capable of owning performance outcomes end-to-end in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Own
- Own and lead Linktree’s global paid search strategy across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and other search platforms.
- Manage budgets, bid strategies, and audience segmentation to maximize efficiency and scale customer acquisition.
- Collaborate with design and web teams to develop and optimize landing pages that drive higher conversion rates.
- Write and test compelling ad copy aligned with user intent and business goals.
- Analyze and report on performance metrics such as CPA, CVR, CTR, and ROAS, driving data-backed recommendations and optimizations.
- Run A/B and multivariate tests on ad creative and landing page elements to improve funnel performance.
- Partner with SEO, Product Marketing, and Analytics teams to align paid search and CRO efforts with broader business objectives.
- Stay on the cutting edge of SEM and CRO trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve strategy and execution.
Who We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience managing large-scale SEM campaigns with measurable business impact.
- Proven experience owning CRO initiatives across ad and landing page performance.
- Advanced knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and GA4.
- Experience with CRO and experimentation tools like Google Optimize, VWO, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Looker Studio, Google Analytics, or similar BI platforms.
- Comfortable managing budgets and reporting on ROI at an executive level.
- Excellent communicator with a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.
- Passionate about performance marketing and continuous learning
P.S. If you don’t tick every box in this listing, please don’t rule yourself out. We take pride in inclusion and hiring incredible human beings with great potential over ticking boxes – so if this role resonates with you, hit that apply button!
