The Role

Linktree is looking for a culture-obsessed, trend-savvy TikTok Content Creator (contractor) to take our social presence to the next level. This is a highly creative, hands-on role focused on ideating, producing, editing, and starring in compelling short-form video content that connects with audiences and drives brand engagement. You’ll develop both reactive, trend-driven content and recurring formats that reinforce Linktree’s brand voice and product value. From scrappy, off-the-cuff clips to polished mini-series, your work will help position Linktree as a must-follow brand in the creator economy.
We are looking for a social-first storyteller who thrives on the cutting edge of culture.
As a member of the Social team, you’ll collaborate across creative, product, creator partnerships and marketing to develop scroll-stopping content that entertains, informs, and engages. You’ll be both behind and in front of the camera, helping build a distinct visual and editorial voice for Linktree across TikTok, and emerging platforms.
Please note this is a 3-month contract role to start, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time position based on performance and business needs.

What You’ll Own

  • Build original, platform-native video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging short-form channels.
  • Partner with the Creative, Social, Creator Partnerships and Product teams to align content with brand messaging, product launches, and campaign objectives.
  • Own the full video production process — from pitching and scripting to shooting, editing, and publishing.
  • Develop ongoing series and one-off videos that reflect internet culture, elevate Linktree’s brand, and grow our audience.
  • Monitor cultural trends, memes, creator movements, and social analytics to proactively shape content strategy.
  • Step confidently on camera when needed and direct external talent, creators, or influencers as appropriate.
  • Test and iterate new content formats, editing styles, and creative approaches based on performance insights.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience creating, editing, and publishing short-form social video content — ideally for consumer, lifestyle, or creator-first brands.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of work, from raw, personality-led content to more refined, story-driven formats.
  • Advanced proficiency in social-native editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects), Final Cut, or CapCut.
  • Deep understanding of TikTok and meme culture, with a sharp instinct for what makes content relatable, viral, and brand-aligned.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset; able to work cross-functionally with internal and external teams.
  • On-camera confidence and a natural storytelling ability (bonus but strongly preferred).
  • Bonus: You already use Linktree and have firsthand experience with creator tools and digital branding platforms.
Linktree is committed to providing a fair and competitive compensation package including cash, equity, and benefits. The base salary offered for this role is targeted at $40–$75/hr depending on experience for contractors based in Los Angeles. Final offers depend on multiple factors including location, experience, expertise, and role scope, and may vary from the range listed.
P.S. If you don’t tick every box in this listing, please don’t rule yourself out. We take pride in inclusion and hiring incredible human beings with great potential over ticking boxes – so if this role resonates with you, hit that apply button!
