The role

We're looking for a strategic product marketer to shape how linkers earn money on Linktree. This role sits at the intersection of linker success and business growth, owning the positioning, narrative, and go-to-market for Linktree's monetization suite. That suite is anchored in our own earning tools (digital downloads, coaching, and courses, etc) and spans every way linkers make money on the platform.
You'll partner closely with the product teams building these experiences, using linker insight and market intelligence to sharpen how we position, launch, and grow adoption of earning tools across our linker base. You'll define who our highest-potential monetizing linkers are, what they need, and how Linktree credibly competes in an increasingly crowded linker economy.
If you love building product narratives that directly improve people's livelihoods and want to own a category that matters to both linkers and Linktree's business, this is a chance to do meaningful work at scale.

What you'll do

Define the positioning for how linkers earn on Linktree

  • Develop clear, differentiated positioning and messaging for Linktree's monetization suite (digital downloads, coaching, courses, affiliate revenue, etc) and what comes next across linker segments, verticals, and earning maturity levels.
  • Translate complex product capabilities into simple value propositions: what linkers can sell, how it works, and why Linktree is the right home for it.
  • Build a messaging architecture that scales. Each tool with its own identity, all reinforcing one coherent “earn on Linktree” story.

Shape monetization product strategy with product and growth teams

  • Build deep linker personas, from first-time sellers to high-volume earners, to inform how we design, price, and surface monetization products.
  • Influence roadmap prioritization with linker demand, competitive gaps, and earning-potential signals.
  • Establish frameworks for evaluating new monetization opportunities, balancing linker value with platform economics and strategic fit.
  • Act as the voice of the monetizing linker inside the product team, bringing qualitative insight, behavioral data, and competitive context to the table.

Own go-to-market for linker monetization launches

  • Lead end-to-end GTM for new and evolving monetization products and features.
  • Define launch strategy (audience segmentation, channel mix, creative direction, and success metrics) across owned, CRM, and in-product surfaces.
  • Partner with content, social, and linker marketing teams to tell launch stories that feel real, credible, and linker-first.

Drive adoption and activation of earning tools

  • Identify the moments linkers are most likely to start monetizing, and build the messaging and in-product storytelling to capture them.
  • Partner with CRM and lifecycle teams on targeted campaigns that move linkers from awareness to active earning.
  • Work with data teams to monitor adoption funnels, surface drop-off points, and iterate on messaging to improve activation rates.
  • Develop education and enablement content, from linker guides to case studies, that demystifies selling on Linktree.

Build the competitive and market intelligence foundation

  • Maintain a clear view of the linker monetization landscape to sharpen our positioning and flag strategic opportunities.
  • Synthesize linker feedback, social listening, and market signals into actionable insight for product and marketing teams.
  • Articulate what makes Linktree's monetization offering meaningfully different: the distribution advantage, the audience, the simplicity.

Cross-functional clarity and consistency

  • Be the connective tissue across product, growth, brand, and community marketing so monetization messaging is consistent and mutually reinforcing.
  • Support localization and global expansion of earning tools with positioning that travels across markets.
  • Help internal teams, from support to partnerships, articulate the value of Linktree's earning tools.

What you'll bring

  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing ideally with consumer-facing platforms, linker tools, or marketplace/commerce products.
  • Deep familiarity with the linker economy: how linkers think about earning, the tools they compare, and what “making it” looks like at different stages.
  • A storyteller who grounds creative work in data. Comfortable connecting qualitative linker insight with quantitative signals like GMV, take rate, and earning activation.
  • A track record of GTM for consumer or prosumer launches that drove measurable adoption.
  • Analytical enough to dig into performance data and extract the insight that shapes your next move.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. Our monetization suite is growing fast, and you'll build the narrative even while the product is taking shape.
  • Collaborative and low-ego. As good at influencing without authority as you are at owning your lane.

What success looks like

  • Paid conversion: linkers find enough success and value monetizing on Linktree that they willingly pay for our paid features.
  • GMV and earning activation growth: more linkers selling, and selling more. The clearest signal the work is landing: growth in active monetizing linkers and the total value they generate through Linktree's first-party tools.
  • Faster time-to-first-sale: new linkers who set up an earning tool reach their first transaction faster because onboarding messaging, in-product storytelling, and lifecycle campaigns are doing their job.
  • Launch adoption rates: when a new monetization product ships, a meaningful share of target linkers activate within 30–60 days, reflecting the quality of the GTM and pre-launch education.
  • Competitive differentiation: in qualitative research and win/loss analysis, linkers can clearly articulate why they sell on Linktree rather than a standalone tool, and the answer maps back to messaging this role owns.
Linktree is committed to providing a fair and competitive compensation package including cash, equity, and benefits. The base salary offered for this role is targeted at $215,000-$225,000 for roles based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Final offers depend on multiple factors including location, experience, expertise, and role scope, and may vary from the range listed.
P.S. If you don’t tick every box in this listing, please don’t rule yourself out. We take pride in inclusion and hiring incredible human beings with great potential over ticking boxes – so if this role resonates with you, hit that apply button!
