At Pet Circle, we believe pets deserve the very best, and the people who love them deserve a better way to care for them. Since 2011, we've grown from that single idea into Australia's biggest online pet retailer, with around 500 Pet Circlers across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines, reshaping how pet parents discover, choose and receive what their pets need.

Pet care is a $15 billion industry in Australia, and as pet ownership continues to grow, so do the expectations of modern pet parents. They want expert advice, personalised experiences, convenience and reliability, all delivered seamlessly. That's where we come in. We're building the future of pet care through technology, innovation and a deep understanding of what pets and their people need. It's a big opportunity, and we're only just scratching the surface.

The role

Our retail media arm of the business is quickly growing. We connect the pet brands we partner with to millions of pet parents across our owned channels, from on-site search and product placements to email, app and off-site campaigns. As a Senior Account Manager you own a portfolio of supplier and brand relationships end to end, from the first media conversation through to campaign delivery, reporting and renewal.

This is a commercial, hands-on role for someone who is as comfortable building a trusted partnership with a brand as they are getting into the detail of a campaign brief and a performance report. You will carry a revenue target, grow your accounts, and make sure every campaign we run is set up to perform and clearly measured.

What you’ll be working on

  • Be the trusted lead for a portfolio of pet brands and suppliers, their main point of contact from the first media conversation through to renewal.

  • Get to know their goals, products and seasonal priorities, and build the kind of relationship that keeps them close through the good and the tricky moments.

  • Run regular catch-ups and quarterly business reviews, and be their voice internally when we shape and price our media products.

  • Develop tailored media plans across our channel mix, from on-site search and placements to email, app and off-site, that match what each partner is actually trying to achieve.

  • Negotiate packages and rates commercially, protecting margin while making sure partners get real value and a reason to come back.

  • Turn partner objectives into clear briefs, then book, traffic and manage campaigns across on-site and off-site channels.

  • Work with trading, content, design and operations to launch on time and to spec, and keep delivery quality high once live.

  • Monitor pacing and performance, and fix issues before they affect results.

  • Build partner-ready reports that connect activity to outcomes like ROAS, sales lift and reach, and tell the story behind the numbers rather than just the numbers.

  • Lead post-campaign reviews that turn results into the next recommendation.

  • Own a revenue target across your portfolio: grow existing accounts, win new spend, and forecast your pipeline accurately month to month.

  • Keep bookings and revenue tracking accurate in our systems.

What we're looking for

  • Several years in account management, media sales, retail media, or a digital advertising or agency role, ideally with a revenue target.

  • Commercial instinct. A track record of growing accounts and hitting revenue goals, with confidence negotiating and forecasting.

  • A solid understanding of digital media, whether that is on-site retail media, performance, social or display, and how campaigns are planned, delivered and measured.

  • You can read a performance report, find the insight, and explain it clearly to a non-technical audience.

  • You build trust quickly, communicate clearly, and keep partners close through good and tricky moments alike.

  • You can juggle multiple accounts and campaigns at once without dropping detail.

  • A genuine interest in pets and the people who love them is a real plus.

Where you'll work

This is a Sydney-based role. Our office sits on top of Wynyard station, it's pet-friendly (of course), and we work flexibly, a mix of office and home. We believe spending time together in person is important for building strong relationships, collaborating effectively, moving quickly as a team, and having fun!

A few good things

  • Heaps of development opportunities - lunch & learns, secondments & unlimited learning courses via Go1

  • Flexible working environment

  • Up to 50% employee discount

  • Product sample giveaways

  • Pawrental leave and wellbeing leave

  • Volunteer days for the causes you care about

  • Fitness corporate partnership

Why you'll want in

Looking after pets, and the pet parents who love them, is what gets us out of bed. That energy carries into how we work, and into what your days here would feel like.

You'll own your patch and have the room to act on it. We move fast and decide fast, and we'd rather test an idea and learn from it than sit on it. You'll have rich, real-time data at your fingertips to back your thinking, and the freedom to chase an opportunity the moment you spot one. The best idea wins, wherever it comes from.

What holds it together is what we stand for:

  • We're better together

  • We operate with humble hearts and hungry minds

  • Pets matter, so pets and pet parents always have a seat at our table

  • We're instinctively curious. Always

Everyone (& their pets) Welcome

We're better when we don't all think the same. Different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences make our work sharper and our days more interesting, so whoever you are, if this role excites you we'd love to hear from you, even if you don't tick every box. And if you need anything adjusted in the process to do your best, just say the word, we're happy to help.
