About the role
Data centres are booming on the back of AI and cloud demand, with billions in capex across the World. These builds are large, time-critical, and full of long-lead items, so fast, consistent procurement is essential.
This role will focus on data centre space, apart from standard enterprise AE responsibilities, you will also help us research & map out product requirements for the data centre sector. Your main responsibility will be to sell to Data Centre projects/companies globally.
- Own enterprise new business > Carry new business quota and run the deal from first conversation to signed contract - Lead demos, proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations.
- Enterprise wide and by project > We sell enterprise wide and by project depending on the size of the business, you’ll focus on both areas but ultimately responsible for closing enterprise accounts.
- Business Case > Build effective business cases, answer RFPs, while navigating procurement, legal, IT and multi-stakeholder approvals.
- Build your own pipeline > Find and qualify large, complex deals with senior buyers.
- Forecast with rigour > Call your numbers accurately and use the data to sharpen your approach.
- Work with GTM > Our CEO stays close to the biggest deals, and you'll partner with Marketing, Customer Success and Product to win accounts.
- Industry expert > Become an expert on construction procurement, learn to speak their language and understand multi-stakeholder value.
- Events & Travel > Expected to represent at events and travel within UK, and sometimes overseas.
- Enterprise sales track record (essential) > 5+ years owning full-cycle B2B deals with large, complex buying groups, and a quota record you can show us.
- Real construction/data centre industry fluency (essential) > You have sold into data centres, Tier 1 construction companies or have in-depth knowledge on data centre construction.
- MEDDIC-led qualification > You know how to find a Champion and partner with them to quantify the metrics, economic buyer, decision criteria, decision process and pain on every pursuit.
- Value selling > You sell commercial outcomes, not features. You turn a project team’s pain into a portfolio-wide business case the executive team care about.
- Bottom-up and top-down selling > You can win the project and commercial team, then expand into a portfolio-wide, multi-project deal signed at director or C-suite level.
- Commercial and negotiation strength > Confident leading negotiations with procurement teams and executives, and taking contracts through to close.
- A hunter mindset > Resilient, accountable and comfortable being measured tightly against quota and revenue.
- Base + Commission package (salary based on experience)
- Mission > To save 1 BILLION construction admin hours.
- What we do > Our market leading technology helps major builders contract with their supply chain by consolidating fragmented and manual procurement processes into a single platform (currently solved by Word, Excel & email).
