The role

As Prospa’s Lead Data Scientist, you will spearhead data-driven decision-making across the organisation and generate impactful, actionable insights aligned with our strategic roadmap. You’ll collaborate effectively with stakeholders and leaders across the business, applying a solution-focused approach to address both immediate and strategic challenges related to product-led growth, marketing, and commercial risk.

What you’ll will be doing

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation.
• Understanding business needs and translating them into value-driven data science projects.
• Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Developing and implementing advanced machine learning models and algorithms.
• Exploring and utilising new technologies, such as graph networks, to address complex problems.
• Ensuring models are scalable and efficiently integrated into production environments.
• Overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects.
• Prioritising projects based on business impact and resource availability.
• Ensuring timely and successful delivery of data science solutions.
• Fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Identifying opportunities to enhance data science capabilities with new tools and technologies.

What you'll need to succeed

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a commercial data science role.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organisational levels.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of managing multiple projects and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
• Expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., MLFlow, model serving, feature stores) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks) and deploying models at scale.
• Knowledge of graph networks and their applications.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
