The role

As a Quantitative Credit Risk Analyst at Prospa, you'll be a key player in our Enterprise Risk team, reporting to the Credit Risk Management Manager in this 12 month Fixed Term Contract role. You'll collaborate across teams to enhance how we assess credit risk, manage and refine our credit decision engine, and ensure our scorecards meet best practices. You’ll analyse data, build models, and offer insights to fine-tune our credit risk strategies and meet board expectations.

What you'll be doing

  • Working with Credit Risk and other teams to keep loss rates between 4% and 6%.
  • Supporting the Credit Risk Management Manager develop and refine credit risk models and scorecards using various data sources.
  • Improving decision-making for credit risk and customer segmentation.
  • Creating and updating dashboards and reports on scorecard performance.
  • Ensuring our Credit Decision Engine is correctly implemented with Product and Technology teams.
  • Analysing portfolio data and provide insights to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • Collaborating with Credit Portfolio Management and Credit Settings to understand and give feedback on portfolio changes.
  • Ensuring sure credit risk decisions follow our Credit Risk Policy.
  • Working with the Credit Risk Transformation team to see how product changes affect credit risk decisions.
  • ; Managing credit risk systems to support business needs and ensure data accuracy

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in SQL, Python (or similar programming), and credit risk modelling
  • Familiarity with Tableau and Databricks
  • Experience using various analytical techniques to provide actionable insights
  • Proven experience in analysing business problems, recommending solutions, and delivering them on time.
  • Ability to manage technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating data into meaningful stories.
