People & Culture Partner (HR Generalist / HRBP)

About the Role
We’re looking for a People & Culture Partner to support our Technology, Product, and Finance teams. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong HR generalist foundation and is growing their business partnering capability.
You’ll work closely with managers on day-to-day people matters, providing practical guidance on performance, employee relations, and team effectiveness, while also supporting the delivery of core People & Culture programs.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll balance advisory support with execution. You won’t be expected to operate as a fully strategic HRBP, but you should feel confident coaching managers and navigating core HR situations with support when needed.
Act as a trusted first point of contact for managers and employees
Coach managers on performance management, feedback, and day-to-day team challenges
Support employee relations matters (performance concerns, disciplinary processes, exits) with guidance from senior P&C leadership
Help managers navigate people decisions with a practical, solutions-focused approach
Support goal-setting and performance review processes
Partner with managers on performance improvement conversations and documentation
Assist with development planning and career conversations
Support the rollout and execution of People & Culture programs (performance cycles, engagement initiatives, etc.)
Help improve and maintain HR processes, templates, and documentation
Ensure consistent adoption of people practices across teams
Respond to employee and manager questions with timely, clear guidance
Partner with People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Finance on core processes
Ensure alignment with Australian employment legislation and internal policies
Work across teams in Australia, EMEA, and the US
Flex working hours occasionally to support global stakeholders

4–7 years of HR experience in a generalist or HRBP capacity
Experience supporting managers with performance, employee relations, and day-to-day people matters
Solid understanding of Australian employment law
Practical and grounded HR partner who focuses on solutions, not theory
Comfortable coaching managers, including on performance and difficult conversations
Strong communicator who can build trust with both managers and employees
Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
Good judgment with the ability to escalate when needed
Comfortable in a remote, globally distributed environment
Proactive and collaborative, with a willingness to learn and grow
Comfortable balancing hands-on HR support with project work
