This role

As we continue to grow and bring on big brands across the globe, we’re looking for a passionate Senior AI Engineer to join our product and engineering team. You will be leading the next wave of GenAI infrastructure, evaluation benchmarking and agentic workflow orchestration tools. You’ll build secure and cost-effective solutions for our global customers.

We at The Martec are building the foundation that powers every AI-driven experience, enabling our product teams to build, evaluate and deploy state-of-the-art Large Language Model (LLM) applications reliably.

You'll be part of the Melbourne team and will be at the forefront of our mission to democratize employer branding content. You will work closely with experienced leaders in our Sydney HQ, Vietnam, UK and US teams. This is a unique opportunity for someone with aspirations to grow into leadership roles.

About you

· 5+ years experience in developing and deploying ML systems in production and hands-on experience building infrastructure while ensuring service reliability.

· Understanding of LLM systems, GenAI applications, or ML/AI platform components such as vector databases, serving layers, and orchestration tools.

· Experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure; and Docker.

· Proficiency in at least one server-side language (Python or Node.js) and solid grounding in testing and CI/CD workflows.

· Understanding of architecture principles and patterns for building scalable, resilient backend services.

· Experience taking projects from design to production deployment, with a focus on maintainability and performance.

Responsibilities

· Partner with product and engineering to ensure our GenAI infrastructure meets the needs of our product use cases.

· Implement best practices for monitoring, observability, rate limiting and cost attribution of LLM services.

· Work on tooling to enable agents that integrate with both internal and external agents.

· Establish strong engineering practices around observability, reliability, security, and cost monitoring.
