About The Martec

At The Martec, we believe the most powerful stories come from real people. Our AI-powered storytelling and advocacy platform helps enterprise teams scale authentic employee voices and build employer brands that truly resonate worldwide.

We’re growing quickly, and that growth is driven by meaningful conversations with the right companies at the right time. Sales at The Martec is about thoughtful outreach, real curiosity, and helping teams understand the impact of authentic employee advocacy.

We’re looking for an SDR who’s early in their sales career, hungry to learn, and motivated by creating real momentum for the business.

The Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be on the front lines of our growth. You’ll play a critical role in generating pipeline by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers, setting up our sales team for successful, high-quality conversations.

This is a great role for someone with a few years of SaaS sales experience who wants to sharpen their craft in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment. You’ll work closely with Sales and Marketing to refine our messaging, improve our outbound motion, and build the foundation for scalable growth.

What You’ll Do Pipeline & Prospecting
  • Research and identify target accounts and key stakeholders aligned with our ideal customer profile.
  • Execute thoughtful outbound outreach across email, LinkedIn, and other channels, always prioritizing relevance over volume.
  • Confidently pick up the phone to engage prospects, qualify needs, and book meetings, complementing written outbound efforts.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, understanding customer needs, challenges, and buying intent.
  • Book high-quality meetings for the sales team and ensure clean handoffs with clear context.
Collaboration & Learning
  • Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to align on campaigns, messaging, and target accounts.
  • Share prospect insights to improve positioning, outreach strategies, and content.
  • Learn our product, customers, and market deeply, becoming confident in speaking to our value proposition.
Process & Performance
  • Maintain accurate CRM data (Hubspot) and pipeline hygiene to support forecasting and reporting.
  • Track performance against targets and continuously look for ways to improve conversion and response rates.
  • Contribute to improving SDR processes, tools, and playbooks as we scale.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3-4 years of experience in an SDR, BDR, or junior sales role, ideally within a SaaS or startup environment.
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and handling early-stage sales conversations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, you know how to be clear, concise, and human.
  • Curious by nature, with a desire to understand customer problems before pitching solutions.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with confidence using CRMs and sales tools.
  • Resilient and motivated, with the ability to handle rejection and keep momentum.
  • High ownership mindset, you take responsibility for your results and look for ways to improve.
Why Join Us
  • Build your sales foundation. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a high-quality SaaS sales environment, with exposure to enterprise customers and modern sales practices.
  • Have real impact. Your work directly contributes to our pipeline, revenue, and the company’s growth.
  • Learn and grow. You’ll be supported, coached, and given room to develop your career.
  • High trust, high ownership. We value autonomy, accountability, and people who care deeply about doing great work.
  • Flexible by design. We’re a remote-first company with the option to work in a hybrid model from our New York office.
  • Based in New York. You’ll be part of our growing presence in NYC, working closely with teammates while contributing to a global company.
