We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer who is passionate about solving customer problems using real customer input and building great experiences.
The RoleWe’re looking for a Product Designer to help shape the next phase of The Martec platform.
This role is both hands-on product design and foundational to how we learn. You’ll design complex, enterprise-grade workflows used by employer branding, talent, comms, and HR teams, and you’ll also own our qualitative research practice, ensuring product decisions are grounded in continuous, real customer insight.
You’ll work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Data, and Customer teams, and will be a key partner in evolving how The Martec balances speed, usability, governance, and intelligence.
What You’ll Do Product Design- Design end-to-end product experiences across core areas of the platform (content creation, advocacy, asset management, analytics, agent-led workflows)
- Translate ambiguous problems into clear, intuitive workflows for enterprise users
- Balance usability with enterprise requirements such as governance, permissions, and scale
- Collaborate closely with PMs and engineers from discovery through delivery
- Contribute to (and help evolve) our design system, patterns, and documentation
- Use data and customer insight to inform design decisions, not just aesthetics
This role has responsibility for customer research at The Martec.
You will:
- Set up and maintain our research ops foundations, including:
- Customer advisory panels
- User testing processes and tooling
- A trusted network of freelance experts and practitioners
- Research documentation, synthesis, and accessibility
- Run continuous discovery programs (interviews, usability testing, concept validation) alongside your peers
- Partner with Product and Customer teams to define learning goals and research priorities
- Ensure insights are translated into decision-ready outputs, not just reports
- Help embed continuous discovery into how the product team operates day-to-day
- 4-5+ years of experience as a Product Designer on digital products
- Strong experience designing complex workflows (B2B, enterprise, or multi-persona products)
- Demonstrated ability to run and synthesise qualitative research
- Comfort working in ambiguity and shaping problems, not just executing briefs
- Strong collaboration skills with Product Managers and Engineers
- Ability to clearly articulate design rationale to a range of stakeholders
- High ownership mindset, you take responsibility for your outcomes and look for ways to improve.
Nice to have:
- Experience designing for AI-assisted or data-driven products
- Experience in HR tech/Employer Branding or enterprise SaaS
- Prior ownership of research ops or continuous discovery programs
- Experience working with distributed or global customer bases
