Funny name, serious business

We are a leading eco-friendly household essentials business and we donate 50% of our profits to help everyone gain access to clean water and a toilet. As of June 2024, we’ve contributed over $18 million AUD to this mission. Basically, we’re really good at making it easy to do good.

We operate scaling businesses in the UK, US, Australia, and Canada. Our amazing team of 250+ people is spread across the globe, all aiming to make the biggest possible impact for people and the planet. Over the next 5-10 years, we’re hoping to increase our annual donation tenfold. That’s a lot of toilet paper, and a lot of lives changed.

A bit about the role

You’ll be the navigator for our financial future, turning complex data into a clear map that guides our strategic decision-making. By maintaining our financial engines while our current manager is on parental leave, you’ll ensure we stay on course to hit our goals and keep making a huge impact.

This is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract, and while we are a global business, this role is Remote Australia based. You aren't just "keeping the lights on"—you'll have a primary focus on our global Supply Chain, ensuring our logistics and inventory are as efficient as they are impactful.

If you worked here this past month, here are some things you might have been involved in:

  • Steering the Ship: Leading the mid-year re-forecasting process and setting budgets to ensure we stay on track.
  • Supply Chain Deep-Dives: Quantifying the size of supply chain initiatives to make sure we’re focusing our energy where it creates the most value.
  • Monthly Storytelling: Crafting month-end management reporting packs that explain the "why" behind the performance.
  • Risk Scouting: Proactively identifying budget variances and huddling with team leads to build mitigation plans.
  • Finance for Non-Finance: Facilitating conversations with stakeholders across the business to elevate our collective financial literacy.
  • Systems Tinkering: Leveraging our operating systems (NetSuite experience is a massive bonus here!) to improve our source of truth.

Let’s talk about you

You are a strategic thinker who sees how a ripple in one area of the business affects the entire P&L. You’re a steady hand during transitions, comfortable with ambiguity, and someone who digs into discrepancies to implement permanent fixes.

What you'll bring to the huddle:

  • Planning Prowess: Solid FP&A with a strong experience in forecasting and budgeting.
  • Supply Chain Savvy: You understand the financial flow of goods from A to B.
  • Stakeholder Diplomacy: You are a pro at managing expectations and partnering with leaders to drive commercial outcomes.
  • Tech Edge: You love a good ERP; if you’ve used NetSuite, we definitely want to hear about it.

You give a crap

Do you want your work to make the world a better place? Do you want to work with other people who feel the same way? What a coincidence — us too!

Why should you work with us?

First off, as a certified B Corp™, we work to make a difference every day while maintaining the highest standards of social and environmental impact. With our most recent score of 125.5, we’re in very good company with other exceptional B Corps around the world.

We also believe that helping to make the world a better place should be rewarded accordingly – that’s why we offer competitive, market-informed salaries, meaningful support towards healthcare for our team around the world, generous paid leave, tailored learning and development opportunities, and free toilet paper (yes, you read that right).

Our engagement surveys tell us that our team is really proud (95%) to work for Who Gives A Crap and, well, we couldn’t be more proud of that.

Have you made it this far?

If you’re still reading, we think there’s a strong chance you might be our kind of person. Here’s the thing, though — research suggests that 60% of women and underrepresented folks might have already talked themselves out of applying. Even if you don’t check every box above, we want to encourage you to introduce yourself. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the closer we are to delivering toilets and clean water for all.
