About the Role:

This role will play an important role in defining and driving the strategic direction and initiatives of Zepto. You will focus on identifying, developing and executing strategic initiatives for Zepto, including both tactical, short term initiatives and long term, future focused projects. You will solve complex business problems with your strong numerical and financial modelling skills and bring innovation to the business by way of products, processes, and technology. This role will also collaborate closely with the FP&A function by leading management of Zepto’s top line revenue reporting, modelling and forecasting.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will collaborate with leaders across the business, with a particular focus on our Commercial Team, while working closely with the broader Finance team. The scope of this role is broad and cross-functional.

Working in a scale-up, means you get the opportunity to flex your skills in a variety of ways. We are agile and always willing to roll up our sleeves to get things done. You can, however, expect your day to day to be involved in the following:

• Drive strategic initiatives that propel business growth, while inspiring, influencing and empowering key stakeholders to contribute to Zepto’s success
• Lead reporting and forecasting of revenue and gross profit margins. Support the Budget process and financial reporting through providing timely and accurate updates to forecasts.
• Partner with the Commercial Team on the go-to-market strategy, providing insights on revenue performance and trends across products, customer verticals and revenue types
• Contribute to Zepto’s strategic direction and identify new opportunities to create value, through a strong understanding of external trends and Zepto’s competitive positioning.
• Partner with teams across the business to provide financial and operational insights that drive decision-making, resource allocation and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with the executive team and Head of Finance in developing a funding and capital strategy, as well as determining appropriate capital allocation across both organic and inorganic growth initiatives.
• Drive the exploration of M&A opportunities and lead the analysis, due diligence and execution of any potential opportunities.

About you:

You’re a highly motivated individual who is passionate about working in innovative, high-growth organisations where you can make an impact quickly. Ideally, you'll have:

• CPA / CA or a Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field;
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial principles and metrics;
• Exceptional written, presentation and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams;
• Sound interpersonal and collaboration skills with a proven track record of developing effective partnerships and ability to build trust of internal and external stakeholders
• Proactive, forward thinking and able to effectively and quickly synthesise disparate information into clear recommendations, actions and decisions
• A detail-oriented and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
