Permanent, full-time

Hnry takes the hassle out of being self-employed by taking care of all the financial admin – everything from Invoicing and Payments through to Expenses and Taxes. We’re automating traditionally labour-intensive and stressful tasks, delivering great experiences and online tools for our users, and making their lives easier.

We are looking for a Product Designer to join our team and help create simple, intuitive experiences for thousands of customers using Hnry’s customer-facing apps, and internal app we use to serve customers. You’ll work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to turn customer problems into thoughtful product experiences - from understanding user needs, through to designing, testing and delivering improvements that make a real impact.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to influence how we design and build products, while working in a fast-moving environment where your ideas and contribution will be valued.

🚀 Responsibilities

  • Define and design end to end product experiences across the Hnry customer-facing and internal apps, from early concepts through to delivery and iteration.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes and high fidelity designs to communicate ideas and solve customer problems.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Operations, and Hnry leadership to understand customer problems and needs, and deliver effective experiences.
  • Use customer insights, research and data to inform design decisions and continuously improve experiences.
  • Contribute to usability testing, user interviews and other research activities.
  • Consider how today's design decisions fit with the medium-to-longer-term direction Hnry is driving towards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer journey and simplify complex problems.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are implemented effectively and deliver the intended experience.
  • Maintain consistency across our product patterns, UI and overall customer experience.
  • Bring a customer first mindset and help the team make thoughtful design decisions.
  • Use tools such as Figma, Notion, Monday, Amplitude, and surveying tools to research define, and collaborate on your work
